New Hendrix film

NME revealed that a new film on Jimi Hendrix called "Slide" is currently in the makings. The plot deals with the "lost weekend" of September 1969, where he was apparently the subject of a hoax kidnapping, orchestrated by his manager. Director RH Greene said the experiment is speculative- "It´s part of Jimi´s story, and I think it offers an opportunity to show him fully but from a unique angle.
That was my aim in writing it, and that´s going to be my aim in making it". The casting is currently taking place and shooting will begin in early 2010.
