The new film by a director supported by the Lewisham Film Initiative will be screened at the next Raindance Film festival.
LFI's Charley Graley, who has written and directed it, will present 'Crazy Hands', a 7-minutes short, at the 17th edition of the festival.
The film, which has been nominated for Best UK Short, tells the
story of a man, played by the physical comedy genius of David
Schneider, who wakes up one day and discovers that his hands have a
life of their own. Zara Ramm and Ben Burton also star.
The screening will take place at the Apollo West End Theatre on Monday October, 5 at 3 pm.
The aim of the Lewisham Film Initiative is to help 'local
film-makers fulfil their potential through production funding,
networking events, one-to-one surgeries and screening opportunities.'
Since 2003, the LFI has supported hundreds of screenings within the
borough, provided - with its partners Film London and Southwark and
Lambeth councils - vital financial support to over 25 film-making
teams, as well as programmed and financed four new film clubs.
